Relationships are important for any human being. If you aren't staying connected, then you aren't maintaining those relationships. It takes persistence and a sense of commitment to really stay on top of your family and friends. They can bring you the greatest commodity that you are looking for; love. Make sure you are just as ready to love back. Family and friends are your support system that will be there even when all else fails and the truth is, you get out what you put in.
When you get discouraged, remember the importance of what you are doing. This is not only a career or a way to earn a living; it is a way of life that is a critical part of society. Your studies and hard work will enable you to save lives in the future, so keep that in mind.
