I believe that most will agree with me when I say that social networking is the most useful tool that has come about in the past number of years. I think that it has grown into something much more important than simply a realm in which friends could come together and talk when they couldn't through conventional means. Nowadays, it's more or less a juggernaut and businesses have utilized it time and time again. That being said, should certain figures not be allowed to utilize - and potentially abuse - this particular platform?
In simplest terms, a social networking site allows you to showcase who you are. Basically, when you post, you're most likely going to speak in a manner that's most closely related to the way that you verbalize yourself in a real-life situation. For example, some of the sarcastic posts I put up are said jokingly and others know that I mean them in that regard. However, companies such as fishbat can tell you that celebrities, not unlike business, will have each word and action monitored.
Maybe there was news brought up about an event that many regard as a tragedy. If this is the case, then I believe that the ideal course of action for a business to take is to post the most basic message, sending their condolences to those who have been impacted. Sometimes it's the simplest of actions that are able to be the most meaningful. What I do not recommend, though, is embedding an ad to a sales circular because then it shows a lack of genuineness.
As far as celebrities are concerned, there are a number of Tweets that have been made that it shocks me when I see them with my own eyes. For example, Kanye West made a Tweet last year, saying that Kim Kardashian, "did not know what a blessing," he was to her. To say the least, it turned me off because it showed such a sign of ego that it's difficult to put into words. What I do know, however, is that it did nothing to help him in the public eye.
As you can see, social networking can be done well in the case of companies expanding their markets. It's clear that this has become such a great platform over the course of many years and I believe that businesses would be wise to get onboard with it if they haven't already. With these methods being done in the most effective ways imaginable, there are fashions which go to show that not everything is golden and certain celebrities have made this very clear. Their words are amplified many times through the Internet, as would be the case for anyone's.
