There are two different hand dryers used in public washrooms. The automatic dryer and the manual dryer are what I am going to discuss along with the reasons why the automatic has proved to better of the two; environmentally and hygienically.
Automatic hairdryers are just that, by placing your hand near the infra-red light, it allows the air to come out without actually in contact with the device. The manual hair dryer needs to have the key on the top to start the engine to allow the hot air to circulation to dry your arms. The manual dryer was the next phase designed to use instead of sponges.
Of course the most efficient hand dryer is the newest version, the automatic for very good reasons. One reason is that hygienically since nothing is actually touched there is no bacteria spread. Second reason the air is not hot like the manual dryer, result no bacteria. The manual dryer has forced hot air which may cause bacteria and the newer models (the automatic) use forced air that is approximately 50 degrees warmer than the surrounding air. Manual dryers using the hot air use more electricity. So, now we are not only talking that the automatics are more efficient drying your hands with no bacteria spread but they are also good for the environment.
The manual hot air hand dryer was better than using paper towels and the automatic even better than the two types previous. Manual dryers have their place in the evolution of hand dryers. As of this date we have learned that the automatic is environmentally greener.
Whether we use the manual or the automatic dryers; hygienically and environmentally are better. We are not chopping down trees to create paper towels and the situation with having creating more trash is eliminated. No one needs to touch the dirty used paper towels for disposal. No waste to put in landfills makes us a greener society.
Over time we have designed from using out latrines with no position to clean and dry our arms to the contemporary use of automated bathrooms, taps, detergent dispensers, and the automated dryer. With the introduction of technological innovation our washrooms have enhanced hygienically and are more efficient with the use of our efforts. The automated dryer only requires 10 - 15 a few moments to dry your arms.
